Estée Lauder - Deluxe EyeShadow Compact

I've never been much of an eye shadow girl, I'll usually keep things simple with a liquid eye-liner and some mascara. So since I've started blogging about beauty I've told myself that I need to buy and experiment with more eye shadow's! I've always felt that I haven't got the right shape eyes for eye shadow and never think it looks very flattering on me, but hey-ho I'm giving it a go!

So it's the end of the month and finally pay day tomorrow, thank the lord! Unfortunately I couldn't afford to get my hands on a new pallet... however, I rummaged around the house and came across my sister's Estée Lauder Deluxe EyeShadow Compact. I think this is about 2 years old and I had a go at finding it on the Estée Lauder website but I couldn't seem to find it! But after looking on Amazon and Ebay the prices for this pallet ranged from £20-30. Personally, if I was going to pay that price for an eye shadow pallet I would not have chose this one as I'm not too keen on a lot of the shades. However there are a total of 18 shades and there are at least 7 of them that I think are lovely (mainly the more neutral/earthy tones).

My favourite shades are 04 and 14 which are matte shades- obviously you can see in the picture 14 is slightly darker and has more of a grey tint. These shades would be good for an eyebrow! I used 14 for mine. Unfortunately the photo isn't a great representation of what the colours look like in real life...boo. But two shimmery shades that I love are 63 and 07. They're really nice glowing shades that have a tiny bit of glitter tint in them and once blended they look so pretty! Those are just 4 of the shades I'm keen on and have actually tried, but it's looking good for some of the others too! For the price tag, I thought they would be a bit stronger in colour but they're surprisingly really subtle and you have to re-apply lots to get the full colour that is displayed in the pallet, although, they blend really well!

So...I put together a really subtle look using 07, 63, 14 and 60. This is quite a nice/day time Autumnal look as it has a tiny tint of red in it. These colours make the colour of my eyes pop as well which is always a good thing! (Not entirely sure why my skin looks so patchy in mouldy in this photo?) Kind of just realised how stupidly subtle my eye shadow is!? I promise it looks a lot more lively in person hahah.
Another quick thing I picked up and love this month is this Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Revitalise perfume. I picked this up from Boots for £10 on offer and love it! It's really crisp and fresh and the perfect scent for cold months. I highly recommend keeping your eye out for this because it's lovely!

Sorry this post has been kind of boring, I will spoil myself on pay day tomorrow and buy lots of goodies to talk about! Feel free to comment with anything, send me your links so I can check out some of your lovely blogs :)

ps. I'd love it if you gave me a follow on bloglovin' pretty please!
